If a customer has been manually blocked by the restaurant or their no-show times has reached the limit set by the restaurant in Backhouse, their online booking permissions may be automatically disabled by the system, placing them on the blacklist.

If your restaurant decides to remove a customer from the blacklist, please follow the steps and instructions below on the iPad:

  1. Open the inline App > Book.

  2. In List, click on one of the bookings of this customer, and in the left-side rectangular box, select the customer's name, icon, or phone number to open their profile card.

  3. In the profile card, adjust the Authorize patron to book online toggle (orange means the customer can book online, gray means the customer is blacklisted).

  4. A confirmation window will appear, click Confirm to complete the setting.

  5. Click anywhere outside the profile card to close it.

*Please note: A customer's blacklist status is set at the company level. Once adjusted, it will apply to all branches under the same company.
