How to Set Up Daily Online Bookings for the Same Date One or Several Months in Advance?

Guidance on how to set up the booking schedule rule in the Backhouse: Daily rolling calendar with month-end unlock

Updated yesterday

If your restaurant wants to automatically open online bookings at a fixed time every day, allowing customers to book for the same date one or several months ahead, you can use the Daily rolling calendar with month-end unlock scheduling rule.

For example, if you want to open bookings every day at noon for the same date one month later: on 2/27, bookings will open for 3/27; on 2/28, bookings will open for 3/28–3/31; on 3/1, bookings will open for 4/1. Please follow the steps below to set it up.

Setting Up Daily Rolling Calendar with Month-end Unlock

  1. Access and log in Backhouse: https://myinline.com

  2. In the left sidebar, go to Booking > Basic Settings

  3. Under Store / Branch Settings, click the branch you want to modify (If there’s only one branch, click Untitled)

  4. Enable booking schedule:

    • Scroll down to find Booking Window

    • Make sure Enable a booking schedule is on (this toggle is on by default; the system will automatically schedule bookings regularly rather than opening only a single date range)

    • Switch the schedule rule to Daily rolling calendar with month-end unlock

  5. Set the schedule rule:

    • Opening Daily at ◯◯:◯◯: The system will automatically open bookings at this time.

    • Patrons can book online reservations up to the next ◯ months: This defines how far ahead bookings will be available.
Example: If you want to open bookings every day at 12:00 PM for the same date next month:

      • Set Opening Daily at to 12:00 PM

      • Set Patrons can book online reservations to next 1 month

  6. After setup, click Save in the upper-right corner of the page.

Once saved, it is recommended to check the Booking Page for customers to confirm that the updates have been applied successfully.

Once set, the system will automatically open bookings for the new day at the scheduled time. No additional manual action is required. Additionally, make sure that the iPad App has the regular module enabled and that the corresponding booking time slots and tables are set in the regular module to ensure smooth opening. Please refer to the following guidance for further instructions.

Set How Many Days or Minutes in Advance a Booking is Required

This setting determines whether the restaurant accepts same-day online bookings and the latest time customers must complete their booking before their meal.

  1. On the same page, scroll down to the Latest time the restaurant accepts online reservations section.

  2. Choose one of the following options based on your needs:

    • Accept same-day reservations (top in the image)

      • Check Accept, then set the latest time customers must complete their booking as ◯ hours ◯ minutes before the reservation time.

      • For example, if it is currently 1:00 PM and you set 2 hours before, customers can book for 3:00 PM or later.

    • Do not accept same-day reservations (bottom in the image)

      • Check Do Not Accept, then set the latest time customers must complete their booking as ◯ days in advance.
→ For example: if set to 2 days in advance, customers can only book for 2 days later (inclusive) or beyond.

      • The system will automatically roll the booking availability daily
→ For example: if the earliest booking today is Oct 1, it will automatically update to Oct 2 tomorrow)

  3. After making the changes, click Save at the top-right corner of the page.

Once saved, it is recommended to check the Booking Page for customers to confirm that the updates have been applied successfully.

*Please note:

  • The minimum booking time limit can be set to 1 minute.

  • To avoid overlapping between walk-in customers and online bookings, it is generally recommended to set it to at least 10 minutes to allow for operational buffer time.
