How to Check?

If you'd like to check the number of new patron groups within a specific date range, please follow the instructions below based on the provided text and images:

  1. Log in to the Backhouse > Overview.

  2. Check the Patron Retention Rate field. The display here will show the percentage of new patron groups in your restaurant over the past 12 months.

Numerical Definitions

  • A patron who dines for the first time in this month is considered a New Patron.

  • Patrons dining more than once, i.e., the second visit onwards, are categorized as Regular Patron.

  • The calculation of new patron groups includes all queueings, bookings, walk-ins, and waitlist patrons.

  • The determination of whether a patron is new is based on the Reservation Date, the standard for determining whether each patron is a new patron is based on whether it is Per Month. For examples:

Example 1: Patron A and Patron B

  • A has 3 reservations in January 2024.

  • B has 1 reservation in January 2024.

Result: In January 2024, there are 2 regular patrons and 2 new patrons.

Example 2: Patron C and Patron D

  • C has 2 reservations in December 2023 and 1 reservation in January 2024.

  • D has 1 reservation in January 2024.

Result: In December 2023, there is 1 new patron and 1 regular patron.
In January 2024, there are 0 regular patrons and 2 new patrons.

Note: Currently, the count of new patron groups includes Canceled reservations, and it does not consider whether the patron is eventually Seated.
