How to Hide the Cancel Booking Button on the Customer Page?

Guidance on how to hide the cancellation button on the booking details page via the Backhouse

The Cancel Booking button is displayed by default. If you wish to prevent customers from cancelling bookings at the last minute, you can choose to hide the button entirely or restrict cancellations within a specified number of days before the dining date.

Hide the Cancel Booking Button Completely

To hide the Cancel Booking button, follow these steps in Backhouse:

  1. Log in to the inline Backhouse: https://myinline.com

  2. In the left-hand menu, select Bookings > Basic Settings

  3. Under Store/Branch Settings, select the branch you wish to modify. If you have only one branch, select Untitled

  4. At the bottom of the Booking Information Link section, locate Display Cancel Booking Button and adjust the setting as needed:

    • Toggle On: Show the Cancel Booking button

    • Toggle Off: Hide the Cancel Booking button

  5. Click Save in the upper-right corner of the page

After saving, we recommend creating a test booking and checking the booking detail page to confirm that the changes have been applied successfully.

When the button is hidden, customers will no longer see the Cancel Booking button on the booking details page.

Restrict Cancellations Within a Specified Number of Days Before the Dining Date

If you wish to prevent customers from seeing the Cancel Booking button within a specified number of days before the dining date, rather than hiding it completely, please contact inline Support for assistance with the configuration.

*Please Note:

The button visibility settings and cancellation restrictions described above are custom configurations for the inline booking webpage. They apply only to bookings made through the inline booking webpage. For bookings made through Google booking buttons, OpenTable, or other third-party channels, these customized button settings will not take effect.
